Bomb shell of News!!

Well, since I've delayed writing anything for April, I might as well get everyone caught up on some news. First off, Monte will be starting his clinical rotations as of the first part of July! We are really excited we've made it past the first year of school. I am truly thankful that it is over. But now we get to endure being apart for five weeks at a time depending on where his rotations are. His first and second rotations are still being worked out since the current second years are finishing up their rotations. We know for sure that Monte will be going to Boise for his third rotation which will be towards the end of August into September. And then he will be back in PDX for his fourth rotaition in Dermatology. Which is perfect planning on the schools part and which leads me into our next bombshell of news.

Monte and I are expecting our second baby! Yep that's right. Baby #2 is on it's way. The due date is December 19. Which was again perfect planning altogether. Monte will be out of rotations for three weeks during the Christmas break. Something that we are greatful for. We're not sure how Paige will react to a new addition to the family. She is pretty set on being the only one for right now. I had my first ultrasound on Monday this past week and I am currently nine weeks along. We aren't out of the clearing yet but we are praying that things continue to go well. I do have to say that when I saw the little one on the moniter I immediately felt that this was our little boy. I started to cry because I hoped that it is true.

This pregnancy so far has been really rough. I have been sick a lot more than I was with Paige and I'm craving foods that I never did with her. Instead of fruit cravings I have vegetable cravings and I cannot get enough Orange Dream ice cream. I also love the Roasted Chicken breast sandwiches from Subway.

Well that is our news for now, we will keep everyone posted on how things go from here on out.

Past Two Months of Updates

Wow how time flies by!! In just a few short days it will be April and I still have yet to post updates for February and March. Well, let me get everyone back up to speed to the happenings at the Anderson household.

In February, I had started a part time position at a GYN clinic. It has been great, I worked two days a week and still had the pleasure of being home with Paige and handeling the affairs of the household, all the while taking two online classes from PCC. Monte was deep into his winter term at school and was prepping for finals come March. Paige on the other hand was being sweet and adorable. We had gotten her ears pierced and she loves to put on make-up(when she sneaks into mom's), chap stick(she wouldn't be my daughter if she wasn't addicted to chap stick) and of course she has to have her nails painted at all times. A little high maintenance..But nontheless we love her so much. Along comes March since Feb. is such a short month.

The first two weeks of March was complete mahem. Monte and I were both getting ready for finals and I ended up starting to work full time. The gal that was training me went into labor a few weeks early and I am covering for her while she is gone. Good news is that I don't have to pay for a sitter, my gram has been a great blessing and loves to watch Paige. The only sacrifice I make is driving the one hour to drop her off. More good news this month is that Monte and I both passed our finals!! Whew! This past week, we were on Spring Break and were able to spend some time up in Northern Idaho. It was a blast, we played minature golf, swam, exercised and spent some needed relaxation and time together as a family. It was wonderful to see that Paige is becoming more independant and she wanted to swim all by herself. Of course, we made sure that safety came first and purchased her a swimsuit that contain flotation devices in the upper portion so she basically could bob along in the pool. However, she was dogpaddling across the pool and loved to jump into daddy's arms. Needless to say, when it came to swim time, Mom was not in the picture. This was just Daddy/Daughter time. When it was time to come home, Mom headed back to work and Monte took Paige out to a movie in the theater. They ended up watching Princess and the Frog. It seemed like they had a good time. Well that is pretty much the update. Monte and I will be starting school again on Monday and I will continue to work full time until the beginning of May. I hopefully will post something for April in April. Until then!!!

January's Update

I know that we are almost to week two in February and yes I am just now posting the updates from January. We had quite a month. In my post before Paige is now two years old and is definately acting like a two year old. Time outs are becoming much more frequent becuase she is in a hitting phase. She had her 2 year check up on the 2nd of February and she is getting bigger. Her weight is now into the 25% before she was in the 10% range for her age. A BIG plus there. She is 75% in her height which hasn't changed at all. She won't have another well check until she is 3!!! Monte is still doing well in school, he is 5 months away from starting his 2nd year!! He is very excited and so am I! I'm doing well in school myself. I have mid terms coming up next week and I haven't stopped studying. We had a very busy month will all of the small things that have been going on but these were just the highlights.

Bibbity Bobbity Boo!! Paige has turned Two!!

I can't believe that our little girl has been with us for two years. It seems like she was just born yesterday. Where to start, I get all teary eyed just thinking about her growing up. I remember her being born very vividly, although Monte tells me that I was completely out of it because of the morphine that was pumped into my system. After the C-section they held her up for me to see. Which at the time I couldn't really focus my eyes, all I could see was a little white blob, but she was mine. I asked if she had all her fingers and toes and yes I even asked if she had lips. (that is how out of it I really was.) All of the nurses and doctors just laughed at me. Oh well, I was druged what can I say and they understood.
Being able to watch her grow up has been a wonderful blessing. She amazes me everyday with just little things she does. She loves to dance and sing. Every night when Monte comes home from a long day at school, Paige grabs his hand and they dance in the living room until it's time for her to go to bed. That is something that Monte will miss I'm sure of when she gets older. She loves to be happy and to make me smile. I love it when she comes into the kitchen while I am cleaning or while I'm cooking and says "Mom, I'll helps you." I smile and laugh everytime she says that.
Her favorite things are Buzz lightyear and woody from Toy Story, Cinderella, cars, singing, dancing, baby dolls, reading books and helping mom. This is a wonderful age!! I absolutely love her!!! Happy Birthday my little girl!!!

December 2009

Well where to start!! This month has been pretty exciting. I've started a life long dream which has been an adventure in and of itself. At the beginning of the month, I went to Seattle for an audition to be a hair model for a runway show. I didn't have my expectations set to high because it was officially my first audition and I didn't have any modeling experience. However, I was picked and had a great time with Pureology Hair show staff and Hair Artist Ruth Roche. The hair show was held at the EMP building in Seattle. (picture is above) I know my hair is a little extreame and it is definately something that I wouldn't do myself. Mainly because the look is, well it explains itself and because it took 2 hours to put up. Over all I had a great experience.
The next highlight of the month was Christmas on the coast. My family was able to join us in Seaside. It was great, the weather was perfect and the views were amazing. Some of the activities included were walking on the beach looking for sanddollars, visiting Astoria and seeing the Astoria Coloumn, sea lions, the gooney house. Then it was off to Cannon beach to see haystack rock. I wish my camera was working at Cannon beach because the views were amazing.
The New Year will bring Monte continuing his Winter term in PA school, I will be starting a few classes at PCC and Paige will be turning 2 and hopefully will be potty trained within the next few months. Happy New Year to all!!

Family Update for November

Hello everyone!!

I have been so swamped to update my family blog for over a month and a half. If I can remember every thing exciting that happened in November it will be a miracle. Here goes, the first part of the month was not too exciting because Paige and I were patiently waiting for Monte to be out on the holiday break. Our task was to make sure that everything was in order for us to go to Boise for Thanks Giving. That was easy, we were packed a week ahead of schedule, so again all we had to do was to wait. During the mean time, we watched my little brother, Chris play in his two games for his senior year in football. That was pretty cool to see. He was the staring QB and played awesome. My parents even got to go out on the football field to be recognized along with him. (Picture Posted) Also since his team was placed 2nd in state behind Scio, they got to go to the play offs. The ended up losing to Kennedy 7-0. Bummer deal. Anyway after that game, it was off to Boise for Thanks giving and a long week. We got into Boise on Sunday night and visited with some of our good friends the Hardin's and the Jepson's. It was great to see them again!! Although, we did end up missing out on the yearly tradition of Gingerbread house making. :( With the beginning of the week over, we spent Thanksgiving with Monte's Dad and Step Mom and the whole family which consisted of: Doug/Dusti/Emelia, Darla/Jeff, Danielle, Leah/Allysa, Andy/Debbie, Sam and Uncle Ron. There was tons of food and it was good to get caught up with the fam. Before we left for home, we did stop by and see our old bishop from the Boise Married student ward. It was great to get caught back up with him and his family. We were excited to see them again. With that, our week was over and we headed back home on Saturday.
Once back at home, we had a quite night on sunday with Monte, Paige and I until it was time to give Monte a haircut. Right in the middle of Monte's hair cut, Paige slipped off of the toliet and hit her lip on the tank and split it wide open. Needless to say, we ended up in the ER until after midnight. She had to get 4 stiches. What an event!!
This was the whole month of November, not too exciting until the very end!

Family update October 2009

Well this months update has a lot. First off, Monte and I had celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27. We cannot believe that it has been this long, but we are grateful to have each other.

Secondly Paige and I had a great time down in Florida. The family was glad we came down to see them for a few weeks. The kids especially were sad when Paige and I left. We didn't get a chance to meet Paige's new cousin. He was born a week after we got back. That is alright though, Jeanne and I had gotten a lot of projects done which was good.

Next thing that happened this month is that I celebrated my 26th birthday!! Monte had invited a couple of his classmates that he studies with to come over and we had soup and of course birthday cake. It was a good day.

Right now we are getting ready for the holiday season coming up. We will be headed down to Boise for Thanks Giving for a week. Monte is also getting ready to start Winter Term at the end of November. We are excited that it won't be long and he will be on his way to doing clinicals and then graduating!!!

That's all for now.
