December 2009

Well where to start!! This month has been pretty exciting. I've started a life long dream which has been an adventure in and of itself. At the beginning of the month, I went to Seattle for an audition to be a hair model for a runway show. I didn't have my expectations set to high because it was officially my first audition and I didn't have any modeling experience. However, I was picked and had a great time with Pureology Hair show staff and Hair Artist Ruth Roche. The hair show was held at the EMP building in Seattle. (picture is above) I know my hair is a little extreame and it is definately something that I wouldn't do myself. Mainly because the look is, well it explains itself and because it took 2 hours to put up. Over all I had a great experience.
The next highlight of the month was Christmas on the coast. My family was able to join us in Seaside. It was great, the weather was perfect and the views were amazing. Some of the activities included were walking on the beach looking for sanddollars, visiting Astoria and seeing the Astoria Coloumn, sea lions, the gooney house. Then it was off to Cannon beach to see haystack rock. I wish my camera was working at Cannon beach because the views were amazing.
The New Year will bring Monte continuing his Winter term in PA school, I will be starting a few classes at PCC and Paige will be turning 2 and hopefully will be potty trained within the next few months. Happy New Year to all!!

Family Update for November

Hello everyone!!

I have been so swamped to update my family blog for over a month and a half. If I can remember every thing exciting that happened in November it will be a miracle. Here goes, the first part of the month was not too exciting because Paige and I were patiently waiting for Monte to be out on the holiday break. Our task was to make sure that everything was in order for us to go to Boise for Thanks Giving. That was easy, we were packed a week ahead of schedule, so again all we had to do was to wait. During the mean time, we watched my little brother, Chris play in his two games for his senior year in football. That was pretty cool to see. He was the staring QB and played awesome. My parents even got to go out on the football field to be recognized along with him. (Picture Posted) Also since his team was placed 2nd in state behind Scio, they got to go to the play offs. The ended up losing to Kennedy 7-0. Bummer deal. Anyway after that game, it was off to Boise for Thanks giving and a long week. We got into Boise on Sunday night and visited with some of our good friends the Hardin's and the Jepson's. It was great to see them again!! Although, we did end up missing out on the yearly tradition of Gingerbread house making. :( With the beginning of the week over, we spent Thanksgiving with Monte's Dad and Step Mom and the whole family which consisted of: Doug/Dusti/Emelia, Darla/Jeff, Danielle, Leah/Allysa, Andy/Debbie, Sam and Uncle Ron. There was tons of food and it was good to get caught up with the fam. Before we left for home, we did stop by and see our old bishop from the Boise Married student ward. It was great to get caught back up with him and his family. We were excited to see them again. With that, our week was over and we headed back home on Saturday.
Once back at home, we had a quite night on sunday with Monte, Paige and I until it was time to give Monte a haircut. Right in the middle of Monte's hair cut, Paige slipped off of the toliet and hit her lip on the tank and split it wide open. Needless to say, we ended up in the ER until after midnight. She had to get 4 stiches. What an event!!
This was the whole month of November, not too exciting until the very end!

Family update October 2009

Well this months update has a lot. First off, Monte and I had celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27. We cannot believe that it has been this long, but we are grateful to have each other.

Secondly Paige and I had a great time down in Florida. The family was glad we came down to see them for a few weeks. The kids especially were sad when Paige and I left. We didn't get a chance to meet Paige's new cousin. He was born a week after we got back. That is alright though, Jeanne and I had gotten a lot of projects done which was good.

Next thing that happened this month is that I celebrated my 26th birthday!! Monte had invited a couple of his classmates that he studies with to come over and we had soup and of course birthday cake. It was a good day.

Right now we are getting ready for the holiday season coming up. We will be headed down to Boise for Thanks Giving for a week. Monte is also getting ready to start Winter Term at the end of November. We are excited that it won't be long and he will be on his way to doing clinicals and then graduating!!!

That's all for now.

Off to Florida!!!

I am really excited to be going down to Florida to see one of my favorite persons in the whole world. Jeanne is expecting her 4th baby a boy in the later part of October. And she is running out of time and needs an extra pair of hands to help her with some projects that need to get done before the little one arrives...Otherwise he will not have a place to sleep. Paige and I will be flying out on Sept. 26th and we will be back on Oct. 10. Just in time to celebrate my 26th birthday on the 11th. We will take lots of pictures and post them when we get a chance to. I can't believe that both Grady and Mckaylee are in school! It amazes me that the last time that I saw them was in 2005. And I have the wonderful opportunity to meet miss Bree, their 3rd child. I wish that we were able to stay longer, but honestly, I don't think Monte would be able to function without me here for two long. We'll be lucky that he will be alive by the time we get home...he he he. No he will do great and school will take up a lot of his time while we are gone. We just wish that we were all going down together as a family but school comes first for Monte now and Paige and I, well we get this trip to make up for the time that he is away. For all of you who know Monte's Brother and Mom we will tell them hello for you. Until we return....

Relaunching Arbonne

I've decided that since the move I needed to get back into the grove of growing my Arbonne Business. It sure is hard to meet new people and step WAY out of my comfort zone, but it is a goal that I really want to accomplish. I feel that it would help me grow as a person and be able to be a successful business owner as well. I hope that all of you will support me in this journey and if you know anyone who is looking for new skin care products or just needs a challenge then send them my way!!!

Big Girl Bed

Paige is finally in a big girl bed!!! She was really excited when we got it home and put it together. Her first act was to jump on it. Just yesterday, Paige was in her room playing with Bishop(our big Orange cat) and she was laughing up a storm. Bishop was trying to sleep on her bed, but Paige would get up behind him and start jumping. His head would pop up because she scared him and she would laugh and laugh.

I'm grateful we don't have the crib up any more, it seemed to take up a lot of space in her small room. Also with the crib gone, that means that it is time to redecorate her room. I always get excited for the opportunity to decorate. I just finished a quilt that is pink, brown and teal. The colors are really pretty together. Although it is to big for her toddler bed, but it would be something that she can grow up with.

Vacation Updates

Well our vacation is coming to an end, but it has been a blast. We never thought we would be able to do so many activities in a week as we have this one. We ended the vacation by spending time with my family in Heppner, Oregon. We had a blast playing the Wii Resort game together. However, we have officially overdosed on this paticular game.

For those of you that know my family well my parents are doing well and are still working on their log cabin in Heppner. Wendy is getting ready for another busy school year at Heppner High School, where she will also be coaching volleyball. Kevin is living in Pendleton and his little girl Kianna just turned 2 yesterday. Chris is starting his final year of high school and is going through the grueling process of applying to college. He is planning on Majoring in Business and participating in golf to hopefully one day play in the PGA. All in all the family is doing great!

Family Vacation

With Monte out of school for a whole week...We have decided to take a mini vacation. On Saturday, we went to Seattle for a Mariner's game where the Mariner's ended up losing to the Yankee's 5 to 2. Bummer. After that, we came back home, went to church on Sunday and then on Monday our vacation started again. This time we went up to Timberline Lodge and had a fun history lesson on how the lodge was made during the Great Depression. We took some awesome photos of Mt Hood. That evening, we set up camp at a nearby lake where we went swimming and ate smores until it was time to go to bed. The next morning, we headed out to Mulnomah Falls. It was pretty busy there so we didn't stay long. From there we went to the Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery where we ended up fiding the fish. Needless to say Paige thought she needed to feed the fish her binky.(he he he) We are headed to the Coast today to fly kites so pictures will be posted later this week.

Family Update August 2009

Since I've gotten a lot of requests from family members for pictures and not all of them are on facebook, I've decided to keep a blog also. Just to update everyone on our little family and what we've been doing for the past few months. For starters Monte is attending school at OHSU for his Physician Assistant Master Program. He just completed summer term and is off for a week before going back to school for the fall term. He received his student white coat before school let out which was a big day for him. So far, Monte has passed all exams and has been able to spend quite a bit of time at home then what we expected. We are pretty sure that time at home will change once fall term starts. But not to worry, Paige and I have found lots of things to keep busy with.

Paige is now 18 months old and is growing like a weed. She is in 24 month clothes, because she is too short for 18 month clothes. She is also in size 5 1/2 shoe. Paige enjoy spending time out side playing with rocks or dirt and loves playing with cars. A real tomboy at heart. Although she loves purses and necklaces and of course shoes, this is a comforting thought. She also loves to look at books and be read to. Every Monday, we go to the library for story time and then we get new books.

As for me, I'm loving to be home with Paige and to keep house. I've become quite the cook. I'm always looking for new reciepes, so if you would love to share that would be great. Other then being a homemaker, I volunteer my time with the Make a Wish Foundation. I've gone through the Wish Granting training program and hopefully will have a wish to grant within the next couple of months.

This is all for now. Keep looking back for more updates.
